Sail Croatia and call into ports for a winery tour, wine tasting and a truly one of a kind sailing holiday in Croatia.

 

You will spend 7 days island-hopping across the stunning Dalmatian coastline on one of our fully crewed sailing yachts, with skipper and hostess to make sure your Croatian sailing holiday is as smooth as a Cabernet Sauvignon. Our Croatian sailing itinerary runs from Split to Dubrovnik and includes the best destinations that Croatia has to offer, including Croatia's National Park Mljet, the fortified town of Korčula and one of the most captivating islands, Vis. There are plenty of hidden gems on the journey and we promise, the trip will be like nothing you’ve ever done before!

 

Your Croatian charter allows you to see many 'must see' attractions, such as the Blue Caves and the national park of Mljet. After your day of sailing, swimming and activities, we will call into port and have arranged for dinner and wine tasting, winery tour, cellar tours and even a night on the boat where our crew will serve dinner with matching wines under the stars. To finish off the meal, we'll bring out a selection of delicious local meats, cheese and wines complete the evening.

 

There is a selection of wine tasting, wine making and wine tours on each of the stops we take you to, including a wine tour on the island of Vis, where you can experience the best 'peka' (slow cooked meat dish under hot coals for 4 hours) in Croatia.

Wine Week Itinerary

SPLIT 

Whether you're starting or ending your Croatian sailing holiday in Split, there is more to the city than just the old town, including the beaches and day trips to Plitvice Lakes and Krka Falls.

 

You will be starting/ending your Croatian sailing holiday in Split (Marina Kaštela) which is only 10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the Old Town.

Sit back and relax, you are going to love your vacation when you sail Croatia and begin your 'Wine Week'.

MILNA (BRAČ)

We start your Croatian sailing holiday and ‘Wine Week’ with a short sail to the beautiful small  town of Milna on Brač.

 

Your Croatian sailing and wine week begins by visiting a local wine maker that has been creating wines for hundreds of years and still uses the same techniques today. You can sample the wine and buy some to take away with you.

 

This is a truly exquisite way to ‘pop the cork’ of your Croatian wine and sailing holiday.

STARI GRAD (HVAR)

We start the first full day of your Croatian Wine Cruise by going to beautiful Stari Grad on Hvar, but not before your first swim in the Adriatic.

 

When you sail Croatia, you absolutely have to visit the island of Hvar. Calling into the port of Stari Grad we arrange pick up ad a tour of Tomič winery in Jelsa and a tasting of their wines.

 

If you want to paint the town red, you can go into the town of Hvar to either enjoy the dining experiences or party the night away. Hvar town is well known for it's night life and cosmopolitanism tourists.

VIS (VIS)

We will call into the town on Vis and secure a place on the town quay, where you can wander the promenade and soak up the atmosphere of the bustling town.

By arriving early you can also arrange an excursion to visit 'The Caves' (Green cave, Blue cave) and also Stiniva bay. You can hire scooters to explore the island before your arranged tour.

 

Make sure you're back in time for a wine tour, wine tasting and finishing at the famous Roki’s winery and konoba.  Legendary for their ‘peka’ it’s a ‘must have’ on your Croatian sailing holiday, especially if you’re a meat-eater as the meal is slow cooked in the traditional grill oven and the meat just falls apart.

SV. NEDELJA (HVAR)

You are in for a real treat, as we’re going to the famous and multi-award winning Zlatan Otok winery on Sveta Nedjelja.  The family farm was established in 1986 and only 3 years later received the patronage for the top quality wine in 1989.

 

Now the Zlatan Otok Company has more than one hundred awards, medals and recognitions, and over 20 champion awards, including Best Croatian winemakers and Mr. Zlatan Plenkovic was elected with the highest honour of ‘Croatian wine knight’.

 

The restaurant cooks with only the freshest seafood, which is caught daily and directly delivered to the restaurant daily. The restaurant has a sea pool with live lobsters that are chosen by the guest and made ​​by the finest Dalmatian recipes.

The restaurant has a unique underwater wine cellar storing the archive wines, and used for wine tasting while overlooking the seabed.  

KORČULA (KORČULA)

Today your Croatian sailing holiday takes you to Lumbarda, where you can explore the fortified town of Korčula.  This magnificent town has the ability to awaken your imagination as you wander the cobbled streets, or climb the turret-towers for a sunset cocktail.

 

We will be arranging for a tour of a local winery, followed by wine tasting and dinner on their estate.  You'll be warmed by the friendly hospitality and delicious wines from their farm. 

After your wine tour and meal, we'll walk back to the boat where you can retired for the evening or explore the Old Town of Korčula.  You can wander the streets and be enchanted by the local musicians playing songs you'll recgonise and some you won't.  It's the perfect way to relax and to just sit back and absorb the atmosphere of the town.

MLJET

The first leg of the journey is to the national park, where you can hire a scooter to explore the lakes of Mljet. You can stop for a swim along the way and visit the monastery, which inhabits a tiny islet in the middle of the lake. It’s not an everyday experience.

 

After our lunch stop, we will slowly make our way through the National Park and to a tiny, protected bay where we’ll stay on anchor for the evening* and we will prepare an onboard three-course meal, with matching wines, followed by local wines, cheeses and meats as we gaze upon the evening’s sky with no light pollution.

 

For many, the on board experience with great company, new friends, cheeses and wines as you stargaze is one of the memorable evenings of your Croatian sailing holiday.

 

*Weather permitting.  If the weather doesn’t allow it, we will be securing the boat in a neighboring bay and dining in the local konoba.

DUBROVNIK

After our freshly prepared on board breakfast and your morning swim, we set sail for Dubrovnik , via a beautifully protected bay for your lunch and final afternoon swim. 

 

We arrive in the marina with time to freshen up and head into the Old Town of Dubrovnik, where you can choose to walk the walls of the town, kayak outside the town for a new perspective or just wander the streets before we enjoy the final evening of your sailing Croatian cruise.

We will take you to a secret bar, which is located on the outside of the securing walls, perched against the rocks for a sunset cocktail and the opportunity to reminisce the magical week and smorgasbord of local food and wines we've shared together.

Check out is at 8am.

^ We always encourage guests to stay an extra night (or more) in Dubrovnik and not to finish your voyage with us and fly home. Dubrovnik has too much to offer and a terrific selection of restaurants.
