Whether you're starting or ending your Croatian sailing holiday in Split, there is more to the city than just the old town, including the beaches and day trips to Plitvice Lakes and Krka Falls.
You will be starting/ending your Croatian sailing holiday in Split (Marina Kaštela) which is only 10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the Old Town.
Sit back and relax, you are going to love your vacation when you sail Croatia and begin your 'Fitness Week'.
We start your Croatian sailing holiday and ‘Fitness Week’ with a short sail to the beautiful small town of Milna on Brač.
We arrive in the picturesque town of Milna where we’re protected from the winds and enjoy a traditional Croatian town. There will be time for a cheeky glass of wine on board before we will dine on the footsteps of the water and watch the sun goes down on our first night of the journey.
HVAR / PAKLENI ISLANDS
Hvar is the queen of the Croatian Dalmatian islands. It has been famous since the antique because of its important strategic and nautical position.
This place has it all including the best spot to catch the sunset to the sound of house music, known for its après-beach party (4pm to 9pm), where all of young trendy Hvar descend for sundowner cocktails. If you prefer to stay on board, you'll enjoy a perfectly still night in the bay with an outdoor cocktail bar a short water taxi ride away. (Water taxi is 100 Kuna for a return trip)
You will wake to the magic of the Dalmatian!
We will call into Vis early to guarantee a place on the harbour quay. We will have an afternoon circuit in the shade, overlooking the harbour before a quick dip to cool off again!
After your workout and lunch, you're free to explore the magical island with a military tour, wine tour or hire a scooter and explore to your heart's content. If a scooter isn't for you, hire a car and drive to Stiniva Bay for a magical surprise!
There's so much to see and do on Vis and you'll be spoiled for choices with the restaurant selection also.
Today your Croatian sailing holiday takes you to the fortified town of Korčula. This magnificent town has the ability to awaken your imagination as you wander the cobbled streets, or climb the turret-towers for a sunset cocktail.
Mornings in Korčula are not complete without visiting the local pekara (bakery) for fresh croissants and traditional pastries to accompany your morning coffee.
Mljet is the most beautiful and most forested island in the Adriatic and one of the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean.
We will explore the coastline, stopping wherever we feel, or make a beeline for the sheltered waters of the National Park. We will stop in the crystal clear waters for light refreshments and a drinks break, before heading into Polače where you can bicycle through the National Park or sit and enjoy the moment.
The backdrop of the day/evening will be nothing like what you've experienced before. We promise you.
The first leg of the journey is to Polače, where you can hire a scooter to explore the national park of Mljet or hire a bicycle to cycle around the saltwater lake. You can stop for a swim along the way and visit the monastery, which inhabits a tiny islet in the middle of the lake. It’s not an everyday experience.
After our lunch stop, we will slowly make our way through the National Park and to a tiny, protected bay where we’ll stay on anchor for the evening* and we will prepare an onboard two-course meal, with matching wines, followed by local wines, cheeses and meats as we gaze upon the evening’s sky with no light pollution.
For many, the on board experience with great company, new friends, cheeses and wines as you stargaze is one of the memorable evenings of your Croatian sailing holiday.
*Weather permitting. If the weather doesn’t allow it, we will be securing the boat in a neighboring bay and dining in the local konoba.
After our freshly prepared on board breakfast and your morning swim, we set sail for Dubrovnik , via a beautifully protected bay for your lunch and final afternoon swim.
We arrive in the marina with time to freshen up and head into the Old Town of Dubrovnik, where you can choose to walk the walls of the town, kayak outside the town for a new perspective or just wander the streets before we enjoy the final evening of your sailing Croatian cruise.
We will take you to a secret bar, which is located on the outside of the securing walls, perched against the rocks for a sunset cocktail and the opportunity to reminisce the magical week and smorgasbord of local food and wines we've shared together.
Check out is at 8am.
^ We always encourage guests to stay an extra night (or more) in Dubrovnik and not to finish your voyage with us and fly home. Dubrovnik has too much to offer and a terrific selection of restaurants.
