Quick Tips
Unless we’re in a port with shore power (power supplied to the boat from the marina) there is no 230V electricity on the yacht, only 12V (This means no hair dryers). You can, however, charge your phones, tablets and small devices from the boat.
Remember to pack light! Don’t bring too many bags and make sure bags are soft. Hardshell suitcases aren't the preferred case if you have a choice.
If you get motion sickness, it will be wise to stock up on sea-sickness tablets in advance!
Bring your underwater camera or GoPro to record your holidays.
Bring your national flag to hoist and show the diversity of people that love to sail.
Transportation
Split: From the airport, a taxi to the marina is a 10-15 minute journey and should cost around 100 Kuna (approx. €13). Uber has recently launched in Croatia, and are cost effective.
Dubrovnik: From the airport, a taxi to the marina is a 30-35 minute journey and should cost around 200-250 Kuna (approx. €26-€30). Uber has recently launched in Croatia, and are cost effective.
Lefkas Marina: Make your way to Lefkas Town Port (all taxi drivers will know where it is. Lefkas Marina by taxi or rental car in about 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Alimos Marina: From the airport, a taxi to the marina typically takes around 30 to 45 minutes.
Mykonos: A ferry from Athens to Mykonos can take from 2-5 hours and will typically cost from €20-€40. There are many ferry operators, so you can check Direct Ferries and compare to find the best fare for you.
Capo d'Orlando Marina: Please make sure to arrive at Capo d'Orlando Marina with plenty of time. All taxi drivers are familiar with the location. It takes approximately 2 hours from Catania Airport to Capo d'Orlando by taxi.
Marina Olbia: Make your way to Marina di Olbia (all taxi drivers will know where it is and it's typically takes around 10-15 minutes to travel.
Phuket Yacht Haven Marina: Make your way to Yacht Haven Marina (all taxi drivers will know where it is. A taxi to the marina is a 30-40 minute journey.
Flights
There are many airlines that service Croatia, including: easyJet, Wizz, Volotea, Croatia Airlines, Lufthansa. You can also try skyscanner, Expedia, Google Flights or Cheap Flights.
How to pack
Pack light. Get out your best swimmers, plan your outfits and think about what's hot this summer. Think: swimming, strolling, casual dinner plus dancing. Keep it simple.
Alcohol
You can buy alcohol at the marina, which saves you running around looking for it.
